The latest KASJOG NEWS  (17.10.25)

Our 2026 show will be La Vie Parisienne - A Musical Comedy at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse 25th to 28th February 2026.
We're really starting to discover the fun in this show. In case you are not familiar, it is a fast-paced musical farce, filled with flirtation, mischief, and comic entanglements. Expect toe-tapping tunes, outrageous characters, and fabulous costumes in this stylish 1920s re-imagining of Offenbach’s classic French comedy, performed in English, and with a live orchestra.

Three unsuspecting visitors arrive in 1920's Paris—each determined to sample its legendary delights—and promptly fall into the hands of two mischievous young Parisians with a talent for trouble. Mistaken identities, outrageous disguises, fake hotels, impromptu parties and wildly misplaced affections collide as everyone chases the “real” Paris… and each other. Before long, the city’s most glamorous courtesan, a millionaire Brazilian, and a houseful of over-enthusiastic servants are swept into the uproar. What could possibly go wrong?

If you're in the cast or crew, the Christmas holidays are a great time to share how much fun you are having rehearsing the show and make your friends and family aware that it is coming up.

If you're not in the cast or crew this year, we're eager to share the fun with you. And do please think about someone you might invite to come along with you and introduce to the pleasure of a KASJOG production.

KASJOG DATES FOR 2026/2027:
KASJOG Summer Show - Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd July 2026 - Lancaster Hall, Send

Following the success of the last two years, we plan to return to the Lancaster Hall for our Summer Show. This format is intended to provide small group and solo opportunities for a wide range of people, be accessible by avoiding an extended rehearsal commitment, build KASJOG's reputation for entertaining events, and raise some funds to contribute to the cost of our main show each year.

We'll schedule a few Thursday rehearsals for the ensemble, and also hold a dress rehearsal on Wednesday 1st July at the Lancaster Hall. We plan to have a few more small group acts than last year, and perhaps a bit less new material for the ensemble to learn.

Come & Sing event - Sunday 20th September 2026 - Lancaster Hall, Send

We all had a wonderful day with over fifty people singing and performing The Pirates of Penzance last year. Dick Stcokton has agreed to join us again for something similar in September.

2027 main show week - 21st to 27th February 2027 - Cecil Hepworth Playhouse, Walton on Thames

We've secured a week at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse for February 2027 and are now in the process of assembling a combination of show and creative team. We are likely to return to G&S, but potentially with one of the less often performed shows. Watch this space.

We've enjoyed rehearsing and performing with so many of you in 2025. Do have an enjoyable Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in 2026.
